Alice Online seeks to provide its readers with the most convenient and efficient ways to stay updated with all the latest coming out of the Centre.

Newsletter

We provide a regular newsletter that highlights the latest articles on the site as well as providing you with previews on upcoming articles.

At the moment, our newsletter subscription service is manually managed by the Editor of Alice Online, Dave Richards. Please send an email to richardsdavester@gmail.com, with words ‘Alice Online Subscribe’ in the subject if you wish to subscribe.

If you are already subscribed and would like to quit this service, then please send an email to richardsdavester@gmail.com, with the words ‘Alice Online Unsubscribe’ in the subject.

We will soon be moving to an automated mailing list manager – stay tuned.

RSS

Alice Online uses RSS feeds to provide our readers with the ability to stay updated with the content we provide.

For further information about RSS and the software available for using these feeds, it is best to conduct a Google search.

Basically, wherever you find the RSS icon on the site, you can click it to subscribe to the feed on that page. Let your mouse hover above the RSS icon for a moment if you need more information about what the particular feed is that you are subscribing to.

At the moment, Alice Online provides its visitors with five different ways of keeping up with the articles we publish and the discussions on the site.

1. Subscribe to entries: This service will provide you with a feed of the latest articles published as they go live on the site. Click here to subscribe to all entries and stay up-to-date on all the latest articles published by Alice Online. There is also a link at the bottom of every page to this feed.
2. Subscribe to entries in a given section or tag: If you would only like updates for particular sections on the site or for particular keywords or tags, then simply click on the RSS icon next to the section title or tag when you visit the home page for a section or tag.
3. Subscribe to the comments of a particular article: So, you’re interested in being updated on new responses to an article? Well, at the end of every article there is a small box containing various information about article, including an RSS icon that you can click to subscribe to all new responses for the post you are currently viewing.
4. Subscribe to all comments: This service provides you with a feed of all the latest comments made by all the readers of Alice Online in chronological order, across all articles. Click here to subscribe to all comments and stay up-to-date with the latest discussions happening on Alice Online. There is also a link at the bottom of every page to this feed.
5. Subscribe to all entries by a given author: Each author or contributor on Alice Online has their own profile page. On this profile page you will find an RSS icon that you can click to subscribe to their feed. This will allow you to stay up-to-date with the latest articles published by your favourite authors.
